Independent Brewing Company- Independent Beers from Conamara
Independent Brewing is based in Carraroe, in the heart of the Connemara Gaeltacht. Trading since January 2014, the brewery has already established itself as an artisan producer of award winning, tasty beers. We were awarded a Silver medal at the Global Craft Brewers Awards in Berlin this July and won the best Ale and Lager category at the Irish Quality Food and Drink Awards in September.
Carraroe is a small village nestled on the rugged Atlantic coastline of the West of Ireland, with a backdrop of “savage beauty” of stony fields, small lakes and windswept bogs.
We use only the best ingredients in our award-winning and full-flavoured craft beers. They are carefully handcrafted and brewed for your enjoyment. If you head out west from Galway city, out past Spiddal and Casla to Carraroe, you may catch the faint whiff of mashing barley on the breeze.
Connemara Gold Ale
Inspired by the sunny summer of 2013, our gold ale is a gently refreshing beer, golden coloured, lightly hopped and brewed with a mix of malted wheat and barley.

Connemara Red Ale
An international red ale, deep and dark in colour, it has the traditional malty backbone of an Irish red ale and is hopped with a combination from New Zealand and America.

Connemara Pale Ale
Our pale ale is a hoppy, vibrant beer, brimful of taste and flavour, the rye in the malt bill blends with the bitter spiciness of the hops for a refreshing bite, double dryhopped for that extra aroma.
